Biography

Clemence Poesy was born in 1982, in Paris France. Her mother, whose maiden name Clemence uses as a stage name is a teacher, whilst her father is an actor, theatre director and playwright. He gave Clemence her first acting job when she was 14. Clemence has a younger sister named Maelle, who is also an actress. Clemence also has a boyfriend named Emrik, they have been an item for seven years.

Clemence left school at the age of 16 and studied drama at the University of Nanteree. Her first English speaking role was in the BBC mini-series Gunpowder Treason and plot, in which she played Mary Queen of Scots.

Clemence is fluent in both French and English and knows some Italian and Spanish. She enjoys, Gauloise cigarettes, the film " A history of violence, The music of Loic lantoine and shopping.
